A cath lab is where tests and procedures including angiogram, angioplasty and pacemakers / ICDs are being carried out. Usually you will be awake for these procedures. Our cath lab has a multidisciplinary staff including highly qualified and reputed cardiologists, Cardiac surgeons and specially trained nursing officers to give you the best treatment that you deserve. Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit

The Cardio – Thoracic Intensive Care Unit (CT ICU) of Kings Hospital is a special unit dedicated to providing the best post-operative care for the patients who undergo cardio-thoracic surgery. Our unit is equipped with world class, modern equipment with facilities of delivering advanced cardiopulmonary support in the form of respiratory assist devices and an Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Defibrillator etc.

The main specialties of our CT ICU is having the luxury of continuous monitoring of heart rhythm by ECG, respiratory support, fluid management, renal support and physiological and psychological assistance. These facilities aid in early recovery by medical treatment and comprehensive management of the patient.

Our CT ICU has a multi-disciplinary team of highly experienced specialists such as consultant surgeons, anaesthesiologists, cardiologists, other medical officers, trained nursing staff, physiotherapists, dietitian, and other support staff. We have the prestige of successfully completing more than 200 cardiac surgeries during a short period of 15th of November, 2021 to 2022.

Coronary Care Unit & Intensive Care Unit

Coronary Care Unit (CCU) & Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are both specialized units dedicated to treating patients who need to be managed by a critical care team. ICU is more general and cares for patients with a variety of illnesses and the CCU is mainly for patients with cardiac disorders. The CCU & ICU of Kings Hospital are specialized units which are fully equipped with world class, high-technology equipment which is designed for close monitoring, rapid intervention and extended treatment for patients who require intensive treatment for their medical and surgical conditions. Our CCU and ICU are teamed up with critical care specialists, trained nursing officers, and other therapists to give you the finest treatment.
